life wonderful but unexpected.

Something very terrible happened to a close friend of my family yesterday and my heart aches for him and his wife. Unexpectedly they lost their little boy.

I ask that everyone who reads this prays for their strength to get through this hard time.

For Lent I gave up facebook and I vowed to attended daily mass once a week. I also downloaded a App for my phone that would give me access to the daily readings and reflections and also a vast selection of prayers. About a week ago I came across a prayer that was called "morning prayer" and it says:

Dear Lord,

I do not know what will happen to me today. I only know that nothing will happen that was not foreseen by You, and directed to my greater good from all eternity. I adore Your holy and unfathomable plans, and submit to them with all my heart for love of You, the Pope, the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Amen.

I typed this out and framed it in my bathroom so I can read it everyday and know that what I live for and what my life consist of his all because of the plans God has for my family and I.

When I heard the news of my friends son I couldn't imagine what they were going through and wonder how I would take it if I were in a similar situation. I remembered this prayer and I will continue to pray. Then I got in the car today to head to work and I was listening to Channel 129, the Catholic Channel, on SirusXM radio.

The first reading was from  Daniel 3:14-20, 91-92, 95 you can read it here. The part that hits me this most is this:

"There is no need for us to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If our God, whom we serve, can save us from the white-hot furnace and from your hands, O king, may he save us! But even if he will not, know, O king, that we will not serve your god or worship the golden statue that you set up."

I know that when I submit to God and pray to him I need to know that the outcome of everyday may not always be good but not matter what, what has happened- is what shall be.

I love you Will and Jodi. May God put peace in your heart in this difficult time.

When I get time I love to read this amazing blog rockstar diaries. Her post yesterday was so amazing and delightful. I love the way she explains motherhood and they way I can relate to every word. I also love how she discusses the arrival of there new little boy.

I think life is such a wonderful thing. My life with Ryan and Annie but also the life that God plants in us. The life that husband and wife create. It's beautiful and it makes me want to have a bazillion babies.
The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

soak it in.

Sometimes my heart is so warm with love and joy that I don't know what to do with myself. I usually want to call someone to express my joy but can't seem to figure out how to express such random joy and love to another person.

I'll give you a for instance; this morning, I was backing of drive way to head to work and I noticed this amazing sunrise that was unfolding right in front my house.

Isn't it amazing. Just seconds later I turned off our dirt road and noticed a rainbow. This I did not get a picture of due to trees and houses being in the way but I got to see it. I've never seen a rainbow in the sky at the same time the sun is rising. The bottom was burning orange while the stem that was going into the sky was a multitude of bright colors. It rendered me speechless.

Then there are moments that I am with Annie and she is being so silly just jabbering, drooling, and grabbing everything in site (including books that I am trying to read her). Those moments make me want to hold her and never let her go.

And times that I have a horrible nightmare. Ones that give you the chills or make you want to cry. I had one of these last night and all I could do when I woke up was snuggle my man that makes me so happy. He's always there when I need him and for that I am thankful.

All of this is signs that God is here with me every day. Reminding me that I have so much to be thankful for and so much to live for. I just need to stop and remember to soak it all in.

half a year old.

Well, I can't believe it. Annie is half a year old. Went by fast, right? I made a dish out of Pioneer Woman's new cookbook last night. Peach Whiskey Chicken. Enough said.

I also had Mom, Dad, and Will over for dinner. Mom was babysitting Patrick so he got to come along for Annie's 6 month birthday gathering.

Annie was very excited, she likes Patrick.

It's crazy that they are only 3 months apart. She's gaining on him. Can you believe they used to look likes this?

Milestones for Annie:

She has now tried squash, carrots, and sweet potatoes and liked. Tried peas and green beans and did NOT like. The first and second time she tried the "greens" she spit them at me. Seriously, I got some on my face. Third time, which was today with Mom, she started gagging. Doctor says I need to disguise them; so that is what I am going to do. Will try again soon mixed with other baby food.
Still sleeping like a champ and as of late, we lay her down (awake), give her a blanket, sometimes a pacifier, say "I love you" and our prayers, and shut the door. She doesn't make a peep (which worries me) so I go in to check within 5 minutes and she is sacked out. How did this happen. She is such a great baby. We love her and we are thankful that God has blessed us with her. She is a perfect child of God.

Love this child of mine.

Life is full of slobbery kisses.

Mommy and Daddy are so happy that Annie is going to be a Rangers fan. I can't wait to see her face when we take her to the ballpark for the first time this year.

a good man.

This world lost a good man yesterday. We love you and will miss you greatly Uncle David. I will miss your big bear hugs, your humor, and the way you could always make me smile. I know you are feeling better and happy to be with God. I will see you again one day!

Spring time.

Spring time in Charlie is so beautiful. The wild plum blossoms smell amazing, the peach trees put off the prettiest pink bloom, and the weather is so peaceful. I am excited for the nice weather. I think Annie is too :)

She also loved her new little bonnet I got her at Zara.

our weekend

Ms. Annie is growing so fast. I say that every post and I am sure you will get tired of it. Apologizes now.

She can now sit all by her self. No help needed.

She is grabbing everything in sight. Eating rice cereal like a champ. Able to pick up a sippy cup and put it in her mouth.(although she can't quite figure out how to get the water out of it...soon, very soon.)

I think adults underestimate how smart babies are. I know Annie is young but I have to remind myself to let her try things for herself, more times than not she surprises me and what she can do. This phase is fun. It soon will pass so I try to soak as much up as I can. This is something that Ryan and I will ALWAYS have to remember. -Let her try things for herself!!

She is also able to ride in the stroller like a big girl! No more car seats for this baby. *clarification- she uses a car seat in the car but no longer has to ride in one attached to the stroller.

I think she enjoyed it. :)

These are from the phone. I am going to try to upload some from the camera tonight. Talk to you soon.
