This is just a random post about a few of my favorite things as of late.

This lip stick. Seriously it feels great on your lips, is bright, and in my case, let's me wear less makeup. I have in Lollipop and Tutti frutti.

Essie no chip polish. This stuff works.

Shea Moisture coconut hair spray...LOVE. It makes my hair shine and not frizzy without a greasy feel. Added bonus: IT SMELLS AMAZING!!

And here are some things I've had my eye on that I want:

A pair of fake reading glasses. Is that weird? I believe in the power of an accessory. So I may be getting these :)

I've been on the look out for a good maxi dress. I don't want one that will cling..because let's face it, when it gets hot no one wants a cotton dress sticking to the bum..not attractive. So I like this one but still on the look out.

7 months.

7 months. Wow. As I write  this I can't believe I am a Mom to a almost crawling baby. 

Milestones: Annie is eating all stage 2 foods like a champ. She will now eat peas and green beans if she is really hungry. Meaning, I almost starve her before I plan on giving her peas for dinner. Can't you tell? She looks like a starving baby to me.

I kid. I kid.

Annie has started to go from the sitting position to reaching out to a toy in front of her and  getting herself into the crawling position. She then splats (word?) down on her belly. She often pushes back or sideways. No forward movement has been detected.

Annie has also rolled over TWICE in the last month. She has no interest in rolling over. I suspect she will be crawling before she rolls over multiple times.

She knaws on everything and still no teeth. She still drools like a champ. Those are the biggies.

We love you miss Annie!! Happy 7 months :)

Easter

Annie had her first Easter!! It was very busy so I failed to get a lot of pictures. Enjoy!!

13.1

Well I have some catching up to do. First up:

Aril 1st. I ran my second Half-Marathon. It was much better than the first. My little sister, Jessica, ran with me (bless her, I'm much slower than her) and we finished 5 minutes faster than my last time and we ran the ENTIRE thing (except for a bathroom stop and a few water breaks).

I am proud of myself, ran this 6 months after I had Annie.

What's funny about this picture. I look like a sloth and a most certainly felt like a sloth.

Not sure why I'm holding Annie up like she is my prize...but she is. I love her and am very proud that she is my daughter.

two years.

It has been two amazing years with Ryan. We are best friends and lovers. He is my husband and father to our daughter. Happy Anniversary to us!! I love you!!

our avenger.

Not sure if I've made it clear on here but Ryan is a huge comic book fan. Therefore, he knows his stuff concerning any movie that comes out that is comic book related. We own and love Iron Man (1 & 2), Thor, Captain America, The Hulk, etc. As you may know, a new movie is coming out this year with ALL of our favorite characters; this movie is going to be called The Avengers.

Needless to say, we are VERY excited therefore, Annie is very is excited. So in honor of our love for The Avengers I had to get Annie this shirt. She loves it. Wish it came in my size :)

Please excuse the messy bed :) We don't get the chance to make it every day!!

life wonderful but unexpected.

Something very terrible happened to a close friend of my family yesterday and my heart aches for him and his wife. Unexpectedly they lost their little boy.

I ask that everyone who reads this prays for their strength to get through this hard time.

For Lent I gave up facebook and I vowed to attended daily mass once a week. I also downloaded a App for my phone that would give me access to the daily readings and reflections and also a vast selection of prayers. About a week ago I came across a prayer that was called "morning prayer" and it says:

Dear Lord,

I do not know what will happen to me today. I only know that nothing will happen that was not foreseen by You, and directed to my greater good from all eternity. I adore Your holy and unfathomable plans, and submit to them with all my heart for love of You, the Pope, the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Amen.

I typed this out and framed it in my bathroom so I can read it everyday and know that what I live for and what my life consist of his all because of the plans God has for my family and I.

When I heard the news of my friends son I couldn't imagine what they were going through and wonder how I would take it if I were in a similar situation. I remembered this prayer and I will continue to pray. Then I got in the car today to head to work and I was listening to Channel 129, the Catholic Channel, on SirusXM radio.

The first reading was from  Daniel 3:14-20, 91-92, 95 you can read it here. The part that hits me this most is this:

"There is no need for us to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If our God, whom we serve, can save us from the white-hot furnace and from your hands, O king, may he save us! But even if he will not, know, O king, that we will not serve your god or worship the golden statue that you set up."

I know that when I submit to God and pray to him I need to know that the outcome of everyday may not always be good but not matter what, what has happened- is what shall be.
