Taos. Part 1

I can't believe how fast a couple of days goes by when you are on a nice peaceful vacation in the mountains. I am blessed to have a boss who owns two houses in Taos and lets us stay there. One word. BLESSED and one more... AWESOME.

We weren't sure what to expect from Annie and a long car ride so we left Thursday after Ryan and I got off work and drove to Amarillo, woke up and then drove the rest on Friday. Annie wasn't feeling great Friday so she was a little cranky but nothing I am going to even think about complaining about. She did so great on this trip! When Annie was born we said we would not let our child(ren) stop us from going places. We haven't yet and surprisingly it is only getting better. (We shall see when future kids come but it's the mindset we are sticking to!)

I took A LOT of pictures and I don't have time to upload all at one time so I am going to does this it parts. So, here is your Part 1 (which is basically my favorites from the first day).

Getting groceries!!

This is Arroyo Seco. The house we stay in is actually in this little town which is 10 miles from Taos on the way up to the ski valley.

Cute little town. Sign is right..congested area!

And this is what riding in a car for 5 hours makes my hair do.

I got to read the entire vol. 5 during Annie's nap!!

My handsome man.

I know she only has one sock on but she was so happy I couldn't stop her.

Making a run for it!

Mama + Baby

And that's it for now! As always, I hope you enjoyed and thanks for stopping by!

  2. Thanks! Taos is so great, Very artsy...and liberal. We haven't spent a lot of time in the town shopping. We mostly relax at the house, go to the ski valley and hike (and they have a really cool bar&grill), and hike/walk around the house. It's worth going! The trees and climate are amazing!

How far is NM from Alabama?

  3. 23 hours! Ha. We probably won't be going any time soon, but if we were in the area I'd definitely like to stop there and check it out. Maybe someday...
