And the biscuits have been baked

Oh! We did it! The Reggie Deluxe has been reenacted!!!

Jessica made some awesome homemade biscuits and I fried chicken for the first time...Not near as hard as I thought it was going to be but definitely waaaay more messy than I intended!

To ensure that we are not copying Pine State we have decided to call this dish the "Anthony Deluxe". (Anthony in is Ryan's first name.) So yes, we are naming the biscuit after him. Needless to say, he feels honored.

Kind of Random

So, tonight my sis and her bf are coming over and we are going to make a reenactment of a dish we absolutely adored on our honeymoon. Here is a picture of the actual "Reggie Deluxe" that we ordered at Pine State Biscuits in Portland. It was AMAZING!! This awesome dish consisted of a homemade buttermilk biscuit, mushroom gravy, sharp cheddar cheese, egg, bacon, and (drum roll please) a thick juicy piece of fried chicken!

I am pleased to announce that the plumber is at the house, as we speak, to get everything "ruffed in" under the floors. This is wonderful news because this means that Ryan and his men can start putting in the floors, etc. on Monday!! NO MORE WAITING!!

If you could see me, you would know that I am doing the happy dance right about now..

Couple of things

Even though I don't think Ryan would agree, I have been very PATIENT with this house remodeling thing that we are doing. Am I ever going to get in this house that I love so much? I have learned that the key to patience is to not ask myself the above question. I have to say...it's pretty hard.

So the plan is to keep on keeping on even though we have to be moved out of our current house in a month and a half.

Positive note: I will say, because I think I forgot to tell all of you, that our FLOOR IS LEVEL!!!! And that makes me very very happy :)

Love this Cottage

Have I ever mentioned that I am obsessed with little old cottages. I want to create a home as bright and happy as this place.

Isn't it wonderful!?!

Note: Our house is going to be more along the lines of a little farm house but it's as close to a cottage as I'm going to get so I'll take it!
