Wow. Stumbled upon Beaver Brook and all I can say is, amazing! I think it is neat how this group of friends are working together to get back to nature.

Seriously. Amazing.

I am not the type of person that is always wishing for something they can't have. I'm happy with what have and the amount I have.

But while gazing at this site, it made me want to invest in building a little 300 sq. ft. cabin out in the middle of no where. No electricity. Just gas lanterns and bon fires.

The last few days have been so wonderful that it seems out of body. I am not sure if you remember but 6 months ago I attended Christ Renews His Parish at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wichita Falls. This is the church in which I received all my Sacraments. It is my home.

The last 6 months I have gotten to know a wonderful group of women and now we are getting to put on the CRHP #8. I know the Holy Spirit has filled my heart. I am so ready to SERVE these 36 women who have signed up. These last 6 months have taught me to be truly happy with your life and with yourself you have to fully give your heart to God.

Annie is going to be with her daddy all weekend and she couldn't be happier.

Our little Annie is 4 months old today! Boy does time fly!! She has been talking so much these days. (and by talking I mean full sentence cooing ;) ) She has become more aware of toys around her, she's starting to put things in her mouth (blankets, toys, bibs and she really likes her hands), she still isn't a huge fan of being on her tummy, and she likes to stand vs. sit on your lap.

She has the cutest little rosy cheeks!

Happy 4 months to you sweet Annie! Mommy and Daddy love you with all our hearts. You are a perfect example of Gods great love for us.

Wow! Things have been busy. Well first things first, have you made your new year's resolution? I don't understand one thing about the main stream resolutions...you know, ones that contain something about losing weight. I don't know why but it confuses me when people eat a lot and don't work out during the holidays (or all year) and then come the new year they feel disgusting with themselves and then want to make it a resolution to loose weight..to get those extra 5-10 pounds off they just gained by being lazy. It is so much easier if you LIVE healthy. To make eating right and exercising a part of who you are. Wow, sorry, that was kind of a rant.

A few of our friends, Ryan, and I like to say our resolutions out load to each other every year. I think it helps to say them out load to someone else so that someone else can hold you accountable for what you set your resolution at. My last year's resolution was this. It's weird going back and reading and still believing every word of it. I think I accomplished it and want to continue to live by it.

This year I still want to do the same things as last but don't want to do a repeat so I put my focus on something/someone who came into my life this last year, Annie. My resolution is to try hard to focus on Annie. More importantly, try to NOT let media get in the way of my interaction with Annie. I find myself trying to finish a text when she is a bit fussy. Seriously, almost 99% of the time that text can wait. My daughters needs come first. I don't just mean texting but t.v. and computer also. I'm not saying I won't watch t.v., text on my phone, or get on the computer but I want to be more conscious that I am giving my daughter my 100% undivided attention.

And this isn't really a resolution but I am running this race in April 2012 and I have one goal for myself. The last half marathon I did took me 2:30 almost on the dot. I ran until mile 10 and stopped and walk/ran. My goal this year is to beat that time. The training for this race started this week. So here we go!!

I would like to add one more resolution. A spiritual resolution: I want to try my hardest to put God first and to give him my 100% undivided attention. To LISTEN to what he is trying to tell me. TRUST that the obstacles he puts in my life are for my own good. I know that if I put my FOCUS in him, my love for Ryan and Annie will be tens times what they are now (which is A LOT).

Last night my sister, Jessica, came over and we watched It's a Wonderful Life. It was my first time seeing it and I just LOVED it! It was such a heart warming movie that makes me thankful for all that I have been blessed with.

Annie's 1st Christmas was a success!! So much fun and so exhausting for her. She slept 10 hrs last night and is going on a 3 hour nap!

Well everyone, it's Friday!!

We don't have much planned this weekend which is exciting! I am going to finish up some Christmas shopping today and finish wrapping tomorrow!

Annie will be 3 months on Monday!! I can't beleive it! She smiles and loves to stand up. Such a strong little baby :)

She is also enjoying her bumbo time.

I am so pumped for this Christmas season :) I've been listening to Holiday Traditions on XM Radio for over a week now and I'm loving it!

Our Christmas tree is up and now I am on the look out for a tree skirt and Annie a stocking. I'm undecided if I am going to make it or buy it. I also want to make some garland to go up around the house but not sure what kind I want. Any ideas?

I'll be looking and will post some pictures of the casa! I love our tree :) And I love my family :)

bumbo time

Oh I am so excited that my big sister, Clair, brought over her bumbo for us to borrow. Annie has been holding her head up more and she gets tired of laying down so last night we tried out the bumbo seat.

She did great when I first put her in it and then she slowly started to slump down. Which is about the time I got my camera.

Then she just got mad.

I think she likes it but she was a wee bit sleepy so last night it just made her mad.

Ms. Annie Clayton is 8 weeks old. She is growing fast. Every day she becomes more alert, smiles a little more, and keeps getting cuter and cuter (which I didn't think was possible).

We go for her two month appointment next week and I can't wait to see how much she has grown.

Ms. Annie is 6 weeks today and I am now approved to run, spin, and ... well other things that aren't appropriate to talk about. :)

Annie is becoming more and more alert everyday. I have to go back to work tomorrow and I've tried not to fret on how bad I am going to miss her. My mom is keeping her and I couldn't be more excited. Some things aren't easy in life and leaving Annie to go back to work is one of those things. It helps that I know there is no other option. I have to work and that's that. I love my job and the people I work with and for so I couldn't be more blessed.

On a positive note, I GET TO START RUNNING AGAIN! I'm ready to lace these babies up and hit the road.

Taos, New Mexico

We went our first family trip this past weekend and it was great! Annie did so good. We split the drive up into two days for the trip there and drove the entire 10+ hours all day yesterday. We went to Taos, NM. Fall is my favorite season and the fall in Taos is gorgeous!! The trees are so pretty with the perfect combination of fall colors. We went on walk and hikes and Annie just loved her Ergo. It put her right to sleep :)

Here are a few pictures of our trip.

We went to the Taos Ski Valley to hike on Sunday and we did the Wheeler Peek trail. We didn't do the entire trail due to Annie and ice/snow but we did do about half.

The trip was great and I can't wait to go on another little family trip. I hope you enjoyed and now I'm off to cook some dinner!

1 week appointment

Annie did great at her 1 week appointment. She gained 11 oz. from when we left the hospital. Her birth weight was 6 Ib 9 oz. and she left hospital weighing 6 Ib. 4 oz. At her appointment on Monday she weighed 6 Ib. 15.6 oz! What a big girl :)

We go back next week for her 2 week and we get to talk to her doctor. We met with the nurse practitioner on Monday.

Things have been going really good around the house. The last two nights Annie only woke up twice which is good. I'm crossing my fingers she continues to do this. She is such a happy baby. We are so thankful for her :)

We are getting her newborns done tomorrow along with some family pictures of all three of us! I can't wait to see how they turn out.

Our Birth Story

I figure I'd better write this so I don't forget any of the details. The actual birth of our baby was one of the things I was most excited about. Sounds crazy, but it is the truth. First of all, we decided at around 7 months that we wanted to have a natural birth. After doing research we decided to take classes to learn the Brio Method of natural childbirth. This method is husband coached. We found an instructor in Norman, Oklahoma that taught a series of classes to get you and your partner/husband/coach ready for a natural childbirth. The classes were amazing and taught us so much about babies, breastfeeding, and the natural act of having a baby.
(The classes included so much that it would be hard for me to explain on here. If anyone is interested please contact me and I can get you a name of number of a wonderful person who was our instructor.)

Being educated about what was going to happen was the best thing we could have ever done and is recommended to all!!

And now our story of how Annie was brought into this world: (It's long so grab a drink.)

On Friday I lost my mucus plug, which of course got me excited but I knew that it doesn't mean much. It could still be days before I go into labor. So I went to the Pioneer Reunion Parade with my sister in law then came home and relaxed. Saturday woke up and was kind of restless. Ryan had practice and so I decided to do some shopping to get out of the house. I went to Handcocks and bought some fabric then went to the grocery store to get some staples for the pantry (just in case I went into labor).

While running around I started to have contractions (some painful, some not). Most of all my low back was really hurting. I came home, made the curtains that I had set my mind on making and then decided I needed to relax. I went and laid down and decided to call Ryan and tell him he should come home. My back was still killing me and I needed him to rub on it. The contractions were few to none. One every 20 minutes or so and not painful.

After dinner we sat and watched the storm outside and the contractions started again, so I started to time them. They would last 30, 45, 60 seconds long and around 10-15 minutes apart. Still, I wasn't getting excited. The electricity went off around 8:30 pm and we decided it would be best to go to bed, just in case. The electricity came on about an hour later. I woke at 2:45 a.m. with a little more intense contractions. I got up and ate a bowl of cereal then went back to bed. The contractions stayed at the same intensity for hours. They came every 8 minutes or less and lasted 30-60 seconds. We rested in between them and used our relaxation methods during them. This went on for the rest of the night and into the morning. At around 10 am they were lasting the same amount of time but getting closer, to less than 4 minutes apart. I was still talking in between them but having to really concentrate during them. About an hour went by and all the contractions were less than 4 minutes apart. Ryan decided to call the hospital and talk to a nurse to see if we should come in. At 11:30 we packed the car to head to town (we live 25 minutes out of town). I had 4 contractions on the way to the hospital. At this point they require full concentration. Most of the pain in my low back.

We get there and get looked at, we are going home. I was dilated to a 1. This of course was upsetting but didn't affect us much. We just said ok, took a breathe, went home to keep doing what we had been doing. I get home and decide to take a bath to see if it would help me get through the contractions. Contractions are still 4 or less minutes apart and getting more intense. I lay in the bath for probably 30 minutes and then started to feel funny and got out. I was not talking in between contractions at this point. We start switching positions to find something that will help me relax. Ryan is doing great at this point. Really talking to me and rubbing on my back. At around 2:30 I had a really hard contraction and had to throw up afterwards. (This freaked Ryan out a bit and I could tell he was starting to get worried, yet he didn't say so.) We continued with what we had practiced. (Just a side note: time flies and is not the same when you are in labor). (Another side note: when we left the hospital they told us to call Dr. Godfrey, the on call doctor, when our contractions were 2-3 minutes apart.)

At around 3:30-4pm my contractions have been around 60 seconds long every 2 minutes for the last hour and a half. Ryan called the Dr. and talked to him. I was in the kitchen working through contractions. Ryan came in and said we were going back to the hospital. We worked through a few more contractions and I threw up for the second time. We got in the car and headed that way. I kept my eyes closed and stayed focused on each contraction. I had 7 contractions and when we were 5 minutes away we stopped at red light (for you locals, it was Lincoln and Scott St.) and I had to throw up again. I got out of the car and all four in the side of the road. When I was done Ryan got me back in the car and we were finally at hospital. He parks and we slowly get back to the fourth floor (L&D). I look horrible at this point and Ryan isn't looking so hot himself. I get checked and I am at a 1 1/2 and it is about 4:45 pm. We are getting a little upset and the main question being why am I not progressing? The nurse, who had helped me earlier, was wondering the same thing. I am not saying anything. Eyes closed and working through each contraction. I throw up again. After about an hour of working through contractions, each being ever 1 1/2 minutes and lasting 60-90 seconds, the nurse asks if I would like her to call Dr. Godfrey to see if could give me some light pain medication. Ryan and I discussed and we agreed. I still have not been admitted into L&D, I was in triage. I couldn't be admitted until I was at least a 3. (side note: Ryan had called my Mom to help. She got there right before I got the light pain medication, around 6 pm)

The light pain medication helped me relax a little. I continued to work through contractions just knowing I was going somewhere even if it was really slow. The pain medication wore off in about 30-45 minutes. At 8 the nurse came in to check me and I had had no change. Dr. Godfrey had already told the nurse that if I had not changed I was to be sent home. She was going to give me another hour and then check me again. I remember thinking and telling the nurse there was no way I could be sent home. My mom is in the room trying to help and Ryan is in the restroom throwing up(his nerves are out of control). I've started to get the shakes and the nurse comes in at 9 to check me. (side note: I've been in labor 17 hrs) This was a different nurse, but I had made clear I really didn't want to go home, there had to be something we could do to make me progress.

I was really wishing my doctor, Dr. Hurst, was on call. Dr. Godfrey was off call at 7 am and Hurst was on call at 7 am. I felt that Godfrey didn't care. I had never met this man and he knew nothing about Ryan and I and our birth plan. But, he was a doctor and semi trusted his judgement.

The nurse went to check me and I waited for some better news. A 2? But she stayed down there a little longer than normal and then it got a little more painful. She finished what she was doing and said, "You'll now be admitted. Congratulations." Needless to say she did me a huge favor and I was now at a 3 and they were getting me ready to go to a L&D room. It was 9:30 pm and I worked through each contraction. Excited but wondering what I was going to do. I had not progressed on my own so how was I going to go anywhere after this?

On the way to L&D, Ryan and I had decided I would get the epidural. I was in my L&D room, it was about 9:30 pm and I had been in labor about 18 hrs and I was only at a 3. I got the epidural around 10:30.

I had always been scared about what an epidural would do to me so that is one of the main reasons I wanted to have a natural birth. I don't do pain medication very well. It went into effect pretty fast and I was able to relax. To my surprise I did not feel drowsy or sick. I was alert and relieved. The nurse suggested we get some rest. My mom made a pallet on the floor and Ryan and his mom where on the couch. I didn't really go to sleep. I just sat there continuing to breath from my gut, like we had learned in our classes. At 2 am I felt like I was peeing on myself and then I felt a huge gush of liquid between my legs, my water had broke. I called the nurse, I got cleaned up. I for the first time felt like I had accomplished something. My water broke on its own, YES! Still, I knew it could be awhile before anything could happen so I tried to get some rest. The nurse came in at 4:45 am and checked me. She looked up and said, "Do you want a little surprise? You're at a 8 almost 9." WHAT!?! I was so excited! She had felt me earlier in the night after I got the epidural and thought the baby was head down but sideways. Not head up or head down. So at 4:45 we decided to get into some different positions to help the baby turn.

Also at this point, Dr. Godfrey has already said that he would not be delivering. Dr. Hurst would be. I was relieved.

At 6am I started to feel more pressure and I was now dilated to a 10. It was time to start pushing. The baby was still sideways. After talking with the nurse, I decided to be taken off the epidural. I wanted to have a control over my pushing because at this point I could not feel much. The more the epidural wore off the more I was able to push correctly. After an hour of pushing the baby was not going anywhere and the nurse had noticed some Meconium in my discharge. I know this is not good but the nurses were very calm so I stayed calm.

Dr. Hurst came in a little after 7, checked me, got up and said, " I'm going to go break this girls water and then I'll be back to deliver the baby." Then he walked out. I continued to push with each contraction. He came in 15 minutes later and as I was having another contraction he got both hands in and manually turned the baby into the right position. Ryan says this looked like he was a quarterback getting ready to take a snap...I don't know what it looked like but it was pretty darn uncomfortable. We waited until my next contraction and I pushed really hard. I could feel the baby getting closer. Then we waited for another contraction and the nurses told me to push really hard. (at this point I was thinking I had at least another hour of pushing). Contraction came and I pushed like I'd never pushed before. I felt the head and then everyone started getting excited and screaming at me..."the head!" "push harder Kathryn, her shoulders!" "push hard kathryn" "Oh! she's out!!" then Dr. Hurst put her butt in my face and said "look at the genitals"...IT WAS A GIRL!!!!! My mind was so overwhelmed. I was crying and thinking, I did just see a vagina, right?

This happened very fast. Due to the meconium, they had our pediatrician in the room and respiratory care nurses to there to take her and make sure she didn't get any into her lungs. They sucked her dry and then let me hold her skin to skin while our pediatrician explained what tests they had to run to make sure she was ok and didn't ingest any meconium.

It was wonderful!! Dr. Hurst then stitched me up. While he is doing this I am wondering if he had to do an episiotomy. I didn't want to ask because this was a huge issue to me that we discussed a number of times at our appointments. Luckily, he looked up and said, "you did it girl, you tore a little and are only going to have two stitches. I am sorry that this is the only thing that went as planned."

I was so relieved. At this point I can feel my legs and I am ready to jump out of bed for joy! Of course they wouldn't let me yet but within 30-45 minutes I was up and going to the bathroom on my own.

Our birth story is nothing compared to, actually the complete opposite, the birth plan we wrote and brought with us to the hospital. I understand you can't plan everything. There is only one person who knew our plans for that day and it's God. With 100% of my heart I believe God knew what plan was best for us.

And something else that made me feel even more at peace with all that happened, on Tuesday Dr. Hurst came in to check on me and before he left he stopped and said that he is very happy that she was small enough to turn because a C-section was definitely an option. I thank God every day for all our blessings :)

In addition to Kathryn's extremely accurate account of the event, I want to give a short overview of my rough and tumble experience during our 28 hour extravaganza!

The first 14 hours of the pregnancy wore on my nerves like a burr under a horses saddle. Judging by my exterior any onlooker would have thought,"This Dad has got his stuff together!" However, as soon as my dear wife's pain tolerance went out the proverbial window, I realized this was no job for a common chap such as myself. So... I called Kathryn's Mother as a reinforcement! Seeing my wife in so much pain and knowing that the only productive thing i could do at this point was to hide and watch, was no easy thing for me to swallow. This set my nervous system on a wild ride that even Mr. Toad couldn't fathom(Disney reference). In the end, I wouldn't wish away any of the erratic emotions or the sleepless hospital nights! What God had in store for me was well worth the effort and alement! YOU'RE MOTHER AND I LOVE YOU ANNIE!

As you might of been able to tell by the lack of post, our little Annie has arrived! She is the absolute most beautiful little person I have ever seen. It took 28 hours of labor to get her into this world and was worth ever minute! She was born September 19th at 7:45a.m. She weighed 6 Ibs. 9 oz. and was 21 inches long.

She was bound and determined to make her arrival on her due date and she made it happen!

The post probably won't be coming regularly (not that they were ever "regular") as we are spending our time getting to know her.

High School Football

High School Football is a big thing in Texas. I have always enjoyed watching High School Football but haven't had a reason to watch it since I've graduated. Last year my little brother was moved from Junior Varsity to Varsity but didn't get to play much at all.

This year he doesn't see the side line. It's so exciting watching him play. Go here to see a little clip they showed of last weeks game on Channel 3. And watch all of it. You'll get to see the #22 Will Morath :)

I ordered baby H some orange and white leg warmers today so he/she can stay warm during the Fall games. I doubt we stay or make all of them but we're going to try!

39 weeks

Well today I am 39 weeks. At first I wasn't sure if I'd make it this far but as you can see I am still with child. I walked twice yesterday for a total of 4 miles and I plan on walking at least 2 tonight. The new plan is to walk this baby out :) I kid. Although I may not feel like walking and I may be in a bit of discomfort when done, I know it is supposed to help tremendously during and after labor.

I am not scared to go through the act of having a child but anxious. Ryan and I have had a long time to think about, practice, and learn about what my body is going to go through. I pray every day for a healthy happy baby. As bad as I want this little to come RIGHT NOW, I know he/she will come when he/she is ready. (crossing my fingers I don't have to be induced...will worry about that when time comes)

Labor Day 2011

Well we had a good Labor Day which consisted of chillin' at the house, going to the river to hike around, and a cookout at Jacob and Lauren's. We had fresh grilled veggies, homemade mac-n-cheese, and grilled bacon wrapped dove. yummy!!

While the food was cooking we had quality entertainment by the kiddos. We love our nieces and nephews. They can always make us smile :) All featured except Patrick..he's not old enough to play bumper cars.

Is fall around the corner?

Wichita Falls has been a HOT place to be this summer and I am so happy the forecast for the next week is in the 80's. I can't believe I just said or typed that. A large majority of the summer has been in the 110+'s. Wichita Falls hit recorded highs and set new records on continuous days over 100, it will be in the record books for sure. We even made the Today show!

So it's 77 outside right now and the high is 85 and looks of fall. My body feels this change. Hold your horses...I said BODY not BABY. I'm still prego and showing no signs of going into labor but I hummed while I made my breakfast and I haven't stopped smiling since I woke up. I am ready for Fall. It's my favorite season of the year!

I hope you all have a lovely day. I am off to get ready for church, got to our last class in Norman, OK, and then a birthday party for my wonderful Nana. She turned 70 last Saturday. I love her.

Well we finally have our computer back up and running. Had to replace the hard drive..ikk. It's working like new so I'm now going to complain.

So here I am, today, 37 weeks and 5 days prego. 16 days till due date.

Like I've said before, I'm ready to meet this mr. or ms.

We are having a little cookout tonight at our house to celebrate labor day and the coming of cool weather! Among the number of things we are making, I made Banana Pudding for dessert :)

Doesn't it look yummy!! I can't wait to dive in!

Wow. September. A month I never thought I would be so excited to enter. Lot's of things going on this month.

1st - a baby is going to arrive.

2nd - my wonderful cousin is getting married. 9-10-11. What a wonderful anniversary, right?! I am so excited for them! Love you Kalynne and Chase!

So I've been slacking on the weekly photos. Sorry. Pretty much my belly is getting big. It's tight. It moves. It rumbles. It aches. It's veiny. And this mommy really wishes what's inside of it would makes its debut. I am 3 weeks and 4 days to due date.

And here is our check list we are working on:

Baby's room finished- check
Stroller and car seat- out of box but not installed. semi-check
Get daiper bag- check
Pack diaper bag- uncheck
Pack mommy and daddy's bag- uncheck
Write thank you cards. semi-check (work in progress)

I guess those are the main things. The house stays, for the most part, picked up and cleaned. We (I won't take full credit, Ryan has been doing really good about cleaning)try to keep it that way because you never know when this baby could come, right?

Tonight, I plan to work on more thank you cards and get the baby's bag packed and start ours. I am very aware that it could be 1 week, 2 weeks, or 4 weeks until this baby comes but I can only be prepared :)

I just bought our baby carrier! An Ergo and I am so very excited about it. They are a bit expensive so I am happy that I found one on Craigs list for half the price and it's gently used!

I love the color and I can't wait to put it to some good use!

We did register for a different carrier at Target and we happen to get three of them at the shower but after reading many reviews I think this one is going to work best. So, we are taking the others back to get this one.

We had just the sweetest baby shower on Sunday. Hosted by a wonderful group of family and friends. They most definitely outdid themselves!

We are all set now! All we need is a baby :)

I have been a bit of a slacker this week but it's not entirely my fault. Our laptop at home has decided to run a little funny so I have been steering clear until I can get it to our computer dude.

I made the cutest little banner for the babies room last night and we got some more things hung on the walls. Again, I will post pictures of this but not today. Here is what the banner looks like except it's green and blue (to match the room).

And then Ryan hung these cards up last night and they look so good!!! We put them in white frames that we got from ikea awhile back. They are going above the bookshelf that Ryan is going to make the baby :)

It's special to me that Ryan made our first bookshelf and now is making the babies. Being married to a handy man definitely has its perks!

We have a doctor's appointment today and of course I'm so excited! Hope you all have a blessed and happy Thursday.

Dreaming

I can't stop dreaming of cooler weather, rain, and a certain little baby that is growing inside me. All of this equals FALL!! I can't wait. It is my favorite season.

This pregnancy has been so easy but lately it's hard to keep my mind on tract and focused. I find myself getting irritable and anxious for this little one to arrive. I have to remind myself i have SIX weeks left (give or take of course). So it's in my prayers to stay focused and healthy up until this baby wants to make it's debut.

I've been dreaming of buying some non maternity clothes. So, I did it. I just made a few purchases from the Gap online Sale section. 3 out of the 4 purchased are NOT maternity!!! Some of you may think I'm crazy and that I should wait until this baby comes to see if I'm going to loose the weight but, let me tell you something... I WILL and I am so excited!!!

So when this little package gets delivered, I am going to hang up these dear clothes and smile.

I have my 33 week picture taken but not uploaded..it should be coming in the next day or so and probably with my 34 week picture since that is now where I am.

Hello! Last week was a bit busy, sorry for the lack of posts. We went to Austin mid-week for my great Aunt Patti's funeral and then it was catching up the rest of the week. Austin was a quick and great trip. Ryan got to meet more family that I don't get to see very often and the Catholic funeral was special and beautiful. Aunt Patti is my Nana's sister. She was such a sweet person. She has had a long battle with cancer and other illnesses and I am so happy she is finally in heaven and in peace.

This is a bit late but last Sunday little Patrick Blaise was baptized.

I told you that Ryan had cooked me dinner for my birthday. I knew he was cooking but WHAT he was cooking was the surprise. He out did himself.

I got home and he was working up a storm.

We had Ribeyes...yummy! He grills the best I've ever had.

Baked Sweet Potato Fries with garlic, Parmesan, and parsley. WONDERFUL!

And the final dish. Fresh Asparagus with an olive oil/ vinager glaze. woooweee this was good!

So to sum it up. Everything was amazing and I am very proud of my lovely husband.

It's my birthday and I'll party if I want too!! hehe

Today is going to be a great day! I am now 26. I have a chiropractic appointment (baby's wearing on my back these days) then a Doctor's appointment which means I get to hear our little one's heart beat (which always brings a smile to my face), and THEN Ryan is cooking me a suprise dinner :)

I couldn't ask for a better day.

This last Saturday we went to the Texas Rangers game which was followed by a free outdoor concert featuring the Old 97's. I forget how much I LOVE live music, sitting on soft green grass, and being around good friends.

I can't wait until Benjamin or Annie is here and we can take him/her to enjoy these things that we love so much. Baseball and Music.

Is what I had last night. I love all my friends and family dearly but I need to understand that there are so many things that I bear and worry about that I shouldn't because they are 100% out of my control. I pray today that I can let go and let God.

Today is Friday and I know it is going to be a great day. Rangers Game tomorrow followed by an Old 97's concert. Busy, fun filled weekend!

I am so thankful for all that God had blessed me with. I couldn't begin to list them all but here are two:

1. I am thankful this man was put into my life. He is always there for me and I couldn't ask for anything more.

2. I am thankful for being blessed with a little baby that we only get to feel and not see.

The list goes on and on and non of it matters we love you so much. We are so excited to meet you! We have about 9 weeks and 3 days. You are growing more and more everyday. One of the things I really look forward to do again is running. I miss it. It's been a good break but I'm excited that I already have a race lined up. A 13.1 with my good friend Kate. The race is in March 2012 in Ardmore, OK. We are signing up as soon as registration opens that way there is no backing down.

It's crazy that I'm thinking about another 13.1 since the last one I ran in October 2009 kicked my rear. This time I know I have to be more disciplined in my training which means no skipping on the long days :)

Well I was reading this blog post just now and saw the below video. So true and funny.

I'm also excited to include our baby in these runs. Our jogging stroller should get some good miles on it!

Well, it's been a busy morning. I have cleaned this house from top to bottom. I also straightened the baby's room and did a little decorating in the kitchen.

I started a plate wall!! I am so excited about it. I hung 9 plates today and I'm still on the look. I love going antiquing so the odds of finding some more awesome plates is high.

I also snagged these cups and saucers while plate shopping a few days ago. Love!

I found a few more things that I'll have to post later. Now it's time to relax!

Yeah! It's here, Friday. This has been a crazy week! Ryan and I were head of games during summer family week at church. Tonight is the last night with a few short games and then Mass! I can't believe we made it through it. Love those kids. I'm not going to lie but a few of them wore me out!

I can't believe 4th of July weekend is already here! We are going to be celebrating my parent's 30th Anniversary (which was on Monday) on Saturday with a cookout. Since things were so crazy this week our house didn't get much attention so I plan to wake up Saturday and clean clean clean! I also plan to work on the baby's room and hang a few things up around the house.

I'll post more tomorrow about what I'm hanging. First hint is I went to a few antique shops yesterday and the second hint has to do with this post.

Needless to say I found some GREAT finds! Post and pictures coming once I have time to take pictures (hopefully this afternoon before VBS or tomorrow).

And before I leave I want to say Happy 30th Anniversary to my wonderful parents. You taught me so much about life, love, and marriage by just loving each other. I love you!!

My parents own and operate a farm in Charlie, Texas. I grew up on this farm, disliking it at times (long days in 100+ weather...ikk) but only valuing it now. This farm taught me so much about hard work, commitment, and introduced me to wonderful fruits and vegetables. I practically become a vegetarian in the summer. I LOVE it.

Last night we had chicken strips, baked zucchini, and bruschetta made with homegrown tomatoes (my first of the season) and fresh basil straight from Mom's herb garden. I could only eat 1/2 a chicken strip because everything else was so good.

Bruschetta Recipe via Real Simple

I've modified a little...and I don't measure anything but this recipe gives you an idea of what the main ingredients are. (I don't use olives) I like to add lemon pepper, garlic powder, and a little lemon juice. This stuff is amazing!! And extremely easy!!

This past weekend I attended Christ Renews His Parish, Group #7. There are no words that can truly express how wonderful the experience was. So I'm not going to try. I feel like my entire body has been smiling since I left Sunday at 5:00. The retreat started at 6:45 on Saturday morning and ended Sunday at 5. Best 36 some odd hours I've ever spent...

Fun in the sun..

This past Sunday we went to the Rangers Game! There is something about the ballpark that I absolutely love. We sat in Section 332L, Row 1, Seat 1-3. Ryan was a bit sceptical because we were on the upper level but the seats were amazing! Reasonably priced and we could see the entire field without having to use binoculars.

The game was at 2:05 meaning 90% of the seats were in the sun...not fun but tolerable. Like I said, I love the ballpark; the smell of the garlic fries, lemon chill's, the wind, the sun, the fact I could see Nolan Ryan AND President George Bush, and being with people I love. We were out of the sun by the end of the third inning. It was great, not to mention it was a great game! We won :)

Excited that we have two more games planned this summer! Happy Hump Day!

The curtains...

For about the last month I have been eye balling some pretty awesome curtains at Urban Outfitters. The only thing holding me back was the fact that one (1) cost $38 dollars. I was going to get two (2) for the bedroom which came to a total of $76! I can't spend that on curtains for a bedroom! Not to mention that I wanted something new for the living room. So...thankfully the crafty urge came about on Friday. I had seen that Hancocks was having a "BLOW OUT SALE" so I figured I would drop on by to see what I could find. Let me just say that when I want something, I am bound and determined that I am going to find it. Which means...I wasn't going home on a long weekend with no fabric.

I skimmed the store for about 20 minutes before I found the clearance table. 15 minutes later I am leaving the store with 7 1/2 yards of fabric, a bill of only $12.25, and a HUGE smile on my face. I was then headed home to make curtains!!

The fabric I got for the living room was a bit different, I'm not even sure what you'd call it. I knew it wasn't going to sew well so I decided to do the finishing/hem with hot glue and the results turned out amazing!

Here is the before window treatments... plain = me no likey.

(It's not very good picture but it's the only one I could find. I guess I never liked them enough to include them in a picture.)

The after and I just LOVE them! Total cost = $8.

The bedroom curtains took me a bit longer to do. These are cotton so I sewed them. The fabric is a bit retro/Hawaiian/floral. I bought everything they had which was a little over three yards @ .99 cents per yard! Here is what we had in the room before...(not bad but wasn't feelin' it).

The after and I LOVE. Total cost = $3.25

I did a little rearranging which only I would notice, I gave Ryan a new magazine night stand and moved the lamp to my side of the bed.

I finished everything before I went to bed on Friday. The living room took me about 20 minutes and the bedroom about 1.5 hrs. Totally worth it.

Weekend Plans??

We don't have any major plans this weekend except a Ranger Game on Sunday :) I'll probably clean the pool, plant some sweet potato vine (now that the chance of freeze is gone), cookout, and relax. Lucy is very good at the relaxing part.

Today is a good day. I put a twist on my usual starbucks tall half-caff Cafe Misto with skim milk...I had the sweet girl add a bit of coconut flavoring. The outcome is beyond words! I love it! I will be very upset if they discontinue this wonerful coconut stuff.

Noise

Well I've been in what you would call a music funk. Not sure if it is a pregnancy side effect or just the plain simple fact that I am tired of all the stuff on the radio and my playlist.

I'm kind of getting out of this funk. The last few days I've actually listened to a music channel on my xm radio and now to my itunes. For the last 5 months it's been talk radio (the Catholic channel) or nothing. I just realized that I like and need more silence. My life (along with everyone else's) is fast passed enough that I don't feel like I need all the noise (tv and radio) in the background to fill the spaces.

I am aware that the noise and craziness is only going to increase when this tiny gift from God arrives. Without a doubt I know that I will find ways to stay calm, relax, and enjoy the small bits of silence. It may take sticky notes around the house reminding me to breathe and to stay calm or Ryan telling me to sit and chill.

Nana said something years ago that I will never forget. She was telling my sister or sister in law (I can't remember which) that when the baby is crying and you can't get them to stop - you've changed the diaper, checked their temperature, fed them and they still won't stop crying...to set them in their bed and shut the door. She said they may scream but that's better than giving the child shaky baby syndrome. Hah! So true.

A bit off topic from the last two paragraphs but here is a video of the talented Adele. Jessica gave me her cd a few weeks ago and I've just listened to a few of the tracks... I like and I think you will too.

So I've been looking and I haven't decided if I want to stencil or get a projector and draw the image myself. The fabric I picked has a lot of patterns going on. I don't do plan and simple. For this reason, I am worried about stenciling but here is one I like...

Every year on Mother's Day our priest ask all the Mom's to stand up and he gives them a blessing. Every year I sit and proudly look up at my Mom and all the other wonderful Mom's who are standing. This year, after a little nudging, I stood. I am a Mom. Baby H is not here for everyone to see but he/she is here in me. I am starting to feel he/she move around and I can tell he/she is growing.

For the first time in my life, I got to stand and be blessed at church and I got to hear lots of lovely "Happy Mother's Day". I am blessed and thankful for this "first".

This week I am 18 weeks. We will be going today to get a sonogram of baby H. I am excited to see this little person inside me. We have decided NOT to find out the gender of the baby. We are going to wait and I couldn't be happier about this decision. Ryan on the other hand would like to know. So we made the agreement that if we wait to find out on the first child we can find out the gender for the next child.

I can't wait to see baby H's little head, fingers, and toes!

Exciting news... Yesterday, Ryan and I put the guest bed and dresser in storage AND the baby bed is put together!! It's amazing how much room we have now. I didn't really help with the assembly of the baby bed so all thanks goes out to my wonderful husband!! Happy Monday :)

Like I promised...a peak at the wedding quilt. I have the front and back completely done and the entire quilt pined together. I started to sow the binding on but my sewing machine has started acting a little funny. So it's on hold till someone can show me how to fix my machine. (I'm probably going to go down to Mom's so she can help me!) Soon, very soon. Here is the entire quilt laid out. Not a great picture but it gives you an idea of how big it is.

We had a little bit of an adventure last night. But first, since we found out we were expecting I wanted to do an owl themed nursery. Boy or Girl. I have found the cutest fabric and poster on Etsy. First thing, I asked Ryan if he liked the owl's, he did, and I haven't thought about nursery ideas since. Owls it is.

Last night, I would say around 2:32 a.m., I heard hooooot whoo hoooot. I didn't think too much of it until Ryan sat up, flustered, and said "Do you hear that? Do you know what that is?"... (long pause because I was asleep) "Yes, it's an owl". He got up, opened the front door, stared them down, and then slammed the front door. He did this a couple of times and the owls (yes, more than one, by the sound of it...3) never missed a beat. He came stomping back to bed frustrated that he couldn't get them to go away or shut up. So what do you do when you can't go to sleep because the owls are being to loud? You turn on the window unit even though it's in the 30's outside. It worked and I went back to sleep.

When Ryan was trying to scare them away, I couldn't help but smile. I love owls and baby H is going to love owls too :) As for Ryan, he loves owls too but would rather them not sit outside our window and hooot hooot all night.

The book..

I failed to mention it on here but I started Ree Drummond's (a.k.a Pioneer Woman) Black Heels to Tractor Wheels about a week ago.

I read her blog version over a year ago and loved it. The book has more detail and a third part which includes their first year of marriage. Once I started this book I couldn't put it down, Ryan would catch me reading and say, "you'd better put it down, your going to be bored when you finish" or "I wish I could video your face while you read" (because I couldn't stop smiling).

Ryan was went to Dallas for the day on Saturday while I printed shirts, helped at church, and then ate with Casey and John (yes, third wheel but I was hungry). After we ate I went home, exhausted. All I had left was part three and I really wanted to wait but I couldn't resist. I picked up the book and what seemed like seconds were the words The End. I flipped the page back and forth a few times and then felt very sad. So, I called Ryan and gave him the news and all he had to say was, "I told you, you should have paced yourself". Really? I said good bye and then went to sleep.

Last night with nothing to read I decided to look up the instructions on how to use my sewing machine. I knew how to use it 5 or 6 years ago but some how for the life of me I couldn't remember how to thread the machine or insert a bobbin. After about an hour of piddling I had finally got it! (With the help of my man).

And now I am pleased to announce that the front of our wedding quilt is finished!!! If you weren't there or don't remember we used cloth invitations that we ask our guest to sign so we (I) could make a memory quilt. I made a mental note to have it done before our 1st Anniversary. Seeing how a few months ago I hadn't even started, I really didn't think that was going to be possible..but now, I can see the end.

I'll try and post a picture of the front soon. Also, if you need a good read, go get Pioneer Woman's book. It's a wonderful love story that I promise you will LOVE.

Last week my friend Cindy came out to the house and we went fishing. Afterwards we cooked out on the grill and she drank wine. Among the many things we talked about, baby room decor came up (imagine that).

I was showing her a few of the shops on Etsy that I had been eye balling and when we came upon Gingiber and I showed her these AWESOME flash cards, she insisted she get them for baby H. So I argued with her but after a few minutes I gave in :) The plan is to frame them and hang them in the room. Eventually, when baby H can read I want to take them out and use them for their purpose...as flash cards. I just thought I'd share. They haven't come in yet but I am VERY excited about them!

The weeekend...

Well I had an eventful/busy weekend that started with a trip to the Wichita Mountains on Friday with the lovely Mom and sister Jessica. We hiked all throughout the the Channing Gardens. The trail was 2.4 miles one way. Part of the trail required us to climb up and over boulders, interesting to say the least. Here is a couple shots of Mom and Jessica and then Mom and me on the boulders. I'm glad we took the pictures at the beginning because we didn't look so hot at the end of our hike. 5 hrs of hiking = exhausted Kathryn.

Then we came home, got cleaned up, and then headed to Casey's for a family ladies Bunco Party! No pictures but great fun! I didn't win anything but rolling THREE Buncos sure made my night!

Saturday me and the hubs planted our knockout roses in the front bed, rested, went to a cookout at Kalynne and Chase's new casa, and then went to the Neon Spur to watch a few friends play.

Today after church I decided to make Joy the Baker's Cinnamon Sugar Pull-Apart Bread. One word. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

I don't have an after picture but needless to say, there isn't much left with the help of Austin, Caleb, Ryan, Clair, Mom, and me :).

Now we are about to grill some hot dogs while trying to shoo away these two stinky (when I say stinky...I mean the smell would be comparable to a pig that's been dead about a week)Hound dogs.

Well..I never got my hands on a Farmers Almanac but I did plant my herbs. I planted Basil, Sweet Basil, and Dill. I plan on planting more because fresh herbs add SOOO much flavor to your fresh summertime veggies. I planted the seeds in pots and they are currently outside sunbathing. I hope they decide to germenate and become plants...time will tell. These seeds were TINY..

The only thing that worries me that I may have coverd them with too much top soil :( We'll have to see. I will be planting some double knockout roses in our front flower bed and I will post some pictures so you can see :)

Farmer's Almanac

Does anyone have the 2011 Farmer's Almanac?? I am need of one...Ryan is going out of town starting today through Sunday and I think this weekend would be a perfect time for me to get some seeds planted and potted. The problem is if they start to germinate and it freezes again they die. If I plant the pots I can bring them inside but the flowers in the ground I will not be able to bring in the house. So now I am trying to decide if I should be patient and wait another week or two or should I go for it and get them in the ground...

I will do some researching to see when the last freeze is predicted and let you know what I decide. At the very least I could get the herbs in the pots and just bring them in the house.

I am being so cautious because this is the first time EVER that I plan on planting SEEDS. I've already bought all the seed packets, they are just waiting to go in the ground. I usually buy already developed flowers and plant them at the beginning of summer and they look great until the first freeze. But this is the fist Spring that I have lived at a house that enables me to plant seeds in Spring and hope they grow through out Summer and Fall. I've never had a house of my own that actually had a yard. The house in Byers was all concrete!

Ash Wednesday and other good news...

Today is Ash Wednesday, the start of lent which is the season of preparation for the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday. Instead of giving something up this year, I will be taking something on. I am going to attend daily mass at least once a week. I am really excited about this decision because I think it will help me from getting so caught up in the weekly craziness.

And now for the other good news...

If you read the top header you will notice a change....that's right! Ryan and I are expecting a little one. I am 3 months! Nausea has been a factor so far but I have seen a small relief the last couple of days. I'm hoping it is coming to an end but I'm not going to get ahead of myself. I am going to stay positive and be thankful.

Spring is in the air

This is one of my most favorite times of year! The trees are starting to blossom, the air is losing it's winter crisp, and I can enjoy outside time with my shovel and rake.

I apologize for being so scarce. Things have been a bit crazy! Not that there slowing down but the fresh air has put me on the right track this morning. Just a little update....

Poor Ryan has a bug and was at home all day yesterday (mostly in the bathroom) and laying in bed today. Hopefully getting better.

I've also been busy trying to figure out what we're going to do for our ONE year anniversary!! I can't believe it's right around the corner. On the top of the list for now is Beavers Bend State Park near Broken Bow, OK. A camp site right on the river, hiking trails near, fire, charcoal grill, and perfect Spring weather. SIGN ME UP :)

Well well...guess who's off work today because a storm blew through North Texas...yes, that would be me! So I'm going to do some catching up on here and around our house. Lucy's inside for the day because it's tooo cold for her outside! The wind is blowing like crazy!! She's getting bored already (which worries me because she's only been out of bed for 15 minutes) see...this is what she's doing right beside me as we speak..

Georgia Bound

I'm not sure if I mentioned to all of you, but Ryan and I helped some of our friends permanently move to Georgia last Thursday. Ryan and Mike drove the U-haul and Amanda and I drove Mike's truck. Me and Amanda swore that we were going to stay as positive as possible (knowing your about to drive 15hrs isn't exactly uplifting BUT we did it!) That's right we stayed positive together for the first 15 hrs but then, the last 3 hrs were HARD; My butt hurt, I started seeing things, I needed to go to the restroom, and the list goes on!

Due to the U-haul getting 7 miles to the gallon, we had to stop every 3 hrs to fill it up. The trip was 18 hrs total and I don't plan on being in a car for that long ANY time soon. The drive was interesting, we got to drive through Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia!

We did a little site seeing when we were there and I apologize I don't have my camera with me so those pictures are going to have to come later :)

I just thought I would stop by, say hello, and let you know what we have been up to the last couple of days.

Oh! And don't worry, we got a one way flight back from Atlanta to DFW (1 and 45 minutes) so we didn't have to drive back! THANK GOODNESS! I would have lost my mind!!

Weekend..

The weekend was weird and good. Went to my first priest funeral, Father Sev. Blank. Father Blank was a good friend of the family. The funeral was wonderful, very peaceful and uplifting. It was really neat seeing the Bishop and surrounding priest serve mass. This is weird but I love all the songs they sing at funerals, expecially "On Eagles Wings". This is one that will defenitely be played at my funeral.

After the funeral Ryan and I went to pick up Jessica at the airport, almost got stuck in traffic, ate in Grapevine, came home to bake these AMAZING cupcakes, shared with the family,
and then taught Jessica how to play 42. Then on Sunday we went to church, ran by grocery store, decided we would stay out of the nasty weather the rest of the day, did LOTS of laundry, and watched A LOT of movies :) Oh! And read a couple chapters out of a book a recently started.

I woke up feeling great this morning! I wish all of you a Happy Monday! (and check the recipe..these little pieces of heaven melted in my mouth)

New Year's Resolution..

My New Year's Resolution is....

It's lots of things I guess: to try to be in a better state of GRACE, to SMILE even when I don't feel like it, HELP others more (because I know I'm capable), get more things ACCOMPLISHED (in general; home and work), to make sure I am always letting Ryan know he means the WORLD to me, and to be sure my liver (inner body) is always SMILING.

I would like to say one thing about NY resolutions; I believe they should be something you do not only for a year but FOREVER. (More of a lifestyle change vs. something you are going to do for a couple days or weeks)

I believe the outcome will be so much more REWARDING.

That's my two sense..take it or leave it :)

Now, if you don't mind, I am going to drink my coffee and get to business..

Christmas 2010 was a lot busier than the last; otherwise known as..THE CHRISTMAS BLIZZARD OF 09'. Last year we were held up at my parents house for 4 days. The snow and icy roads were record breaking!

This year we attended my parents Christmas Eve brunch and opened our presents with all the siblings and nieces and nephews.

Once the dishes are clean and the trash is gathered we headed to Nana's and Gramps's.

Then Christmas Day we woke up, went to church, and then came back and had our Christmas with Ryan's parents, Tony and Tonya, and his grandparents, Robbie and Virginia. After we ate his Uncle Scot, Aunt Stef, and cousin Katie came over and we played Taboo. And finally..Tonya, Tony, and Bobs taught us how to play Domino's..42 to be exact!

Sunday we woke up, went to church and then headed to Granny's and Grandad's for our Christmas on the Morath side.

I know this post is a bit late (seeing how I should have posted this right after Christmas) but oh well..It's here now! And I do apologize for the lack of pictures after Nana's and Gramps's on Christmas Eve...I have no excuses.

2010 at a glance..

Well we started the year off engaged and awaiting word on the annulment; then, after months and months of waiting, in January we decided we were going to tie the knot in April. So the year started off with planning and getting things together for the wedding! First was the bridal portraits in March. Meegan Weaver did such a wonderful job! I would recommend her to anyone!

With help from friends and family the invitations, decorations, and food came together nicely.

We decided to do the First Look before the ceremony because we thought it would give us a chance not to be so rushed after the wedding with pictures, and we were right! Not only did we get all the pictures out of the way, we got to see one another all dressed up. My nerves were going crazy before I saw Ryan (to the point I thought I was going to burst out in tears for know good reason) and once we saw each other I felt like time stopped just for us. It was amazing, truly amazing...

The reception was soooo much fun! We had blast! Great music, great food, great drinks, and GREAT FRIENDS!

Once the festivities were over, off to Portland we went!

Once we were back it was all work no play. We started working on the house a little more steady. I'm not sure what month it was but during the summer Ryan decided he was going back to college! He started at the first of September and was so excited! We also moved into the Charlie house at the beginning September. October started off with an annual trip to Fredericksburg for Oktoberfest.

The fall consisted of work and Ryan going to school. He finished off his first semester with a 3.0!! Next, came our first Christmas as a married couple! Pictures to come soon :)

And that's it! 2010 was great and I can't wait to see what 2011 has in store for us :)

Well if I did have a lot of people who read this blog I bet they would be upset that I haven't had a post since the beginning of the month. My apologizes! I have no real excuses. I get on here every day and look at everyone else's blogs and read all the fun things they have to say.

I've been thinking about changing up the blog a bit, now that the house is done and we are settled in I don't have much to post about (or topics concerning the house). It really wouldn't need much changing since the name of this blog is Ryan and Kathryn..how about Ryan AND Kathryn post. I haven't talked to Ryan about this but I will spring that on him tonight. :) I will be sure to let you know what he says...

If he does agree, be ware. A few of his interest are....a bit different than mine, ranging from music to scary comic books.

And maybe some day or in the near future we will have something else to post about?

For now, I am going to get off of here and get back to work...I hope all of you had a VERY Merry Christmas! Our's was amazing!

It's December!! Wow! This year has flown by. I am so excited, happy, and giddy for the Holidays this year! I had my tree up and house decorated before December even got here! Ryan and I are so cozy in our house. The tree fits perfect and looks great! (Charlee, Sydney, and Audrey did the decorating) While we were decorating Ryan played his guitar and we sang Christmas Carols. I'm on a mission to find a book with notes and lyrics so he can play and we can all sing on Christmas Eve down at my parents...If anyone has seen something of the sort please let me know!

I can't remember the last time I was this excited for Christmas! I think being married, having a wonderful husband, and the perfect house has made this year absolutely amazing! I am so thankful for our family and friends!!

I do apologize for not posting much lately. Things have been crazy! No new news on the house, still needs the final paint job. (It has primer now, which suits me just fine!)

Ryan is doing great in school! At first, I was worried if he'd like school; I am so happy and thankful that he really enjoys it. He is going to make the best English Teacher! And if I don't say so myself, he's going to make a pretty handsome teacher too ;) xoxo

I am just now getting geared for the Holidays! I bought a Christmas tree today, wreaths already on the door and I bought us new stockings to hand on the mantel. I'll have to take pictures and share with you once the living room is all done up! I am thinking I am going to get everything out this weekend..but who knows?

Here is a quick update for you. We started painting the outside of the house! Yep that's right, the entire outside is primered! All is left is a round of paint and we should be good to go. Yippee!

I have a feeling today is going to be a wonderful day! It's chilly out, I'm hosting a Scentsy party tonight, and Ryan has a show tomorrow at The Office! Good weekend with great friends! I can't wait!

This past Thursday-Monday we have were in Taos, NM and it was absolutely stunning. The trees were all yellow and orange and it was a sight to see.

For some reason, trips like this make us motivated to finish any projects that we are putting on hold. In this case, PAINTING THE OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE! It is in the near future that we will be getting started on this small yet very large project.
